6 separate booklets printed on handmade paper, each with an image in the middle.

Mirror Mirror, or, The Tainted Tain

Robbin Ami Silverberg, 2015.

This proto-feminist obsession is presented as self-mocking as it riffs on the absurdity of the text and our present-day obsessions with self-presentation. Imagery was focused on selfies taken in dirty reflections.

An opened gatefold book where the top and bottom pages are spiral bound to the center.

Pop Art One

D. Herzka, 1965.

A portfolio of 27 plates in black and white with reproductions of Pop Art works by Jasper Johns, Roy Lichtenstein, Claes Oldenburg, Tom Wesselmann, James Rosenquist, and Andy Warhol.

A spiral-bound book spread featuring a fictitious urban landscape. A cartoon dog-like creature and baby stand in front of two pink buildings labeled 'Sin' and 'Plex'. The sky mimics a sunset with stripes of bright red and yellow.

The 1995 MTV Video Music Awards

David Sandlin, 1995.

In his classic Sinful style, Sandlin designed the program for the 1995 MTV awards ceremony. Featuring page after page of Sintastic mayhem in full color, with fold-outs and peephole cutouts.

A book that is laid out in order to show off its complicated structure, where different parts of each page resemble different architectural structures and can be folded atop one another.

Somewhere/Elsewhere

Rhea Karam, 2023.

The unique structure of this book leads the viewer into a journey where they can navigate city streets through a series of photographs of textured architectural planes. Each page acts like a layer that can be peeled back or overlapped, allowing the viewer to interact and construct their own visual landscape.
