Although there is some overlap in how Artists’ Books and Zines are defined, they differ in the cost of production, cost per unit, and their relationship to the publishing and distribution markets. Whereas zines are generally a quicker and cheaper way for creator’s to share their work, artists’ books are typically more expensive to both create and buy.
