New Wave Comics

Mark Marek, 1983,

Marek began his cartooning career during the 1980s, creating satirical comics in a scratchy, punk-inspired drawing style... His first contribution to National Lampoon was the funny news report feature 'New Wave Comics'.

Heavy black, punk-style comics drawn on yellowed paper.

Jimbo

Gary Panter, 1982.

A cardboard encasement protects this original newsprint edition of Raw One-Shot #1 of the Jimbo series. With an introduction by Greil Marcus, the magazine-sized comic is an anthology of strips featuring Panter’s post-apocalyptic foul-mouthed junkhead “Jimbo."

A primarily black and red book spread filled with drawings of creatures, webs, and the word 'spiders'. In the middle is a pop-up meant to replicate a Hollywood-esque sign with bright lights.

Dot Comics #1

A.T. Pratt, 2024.

Dot Comics is a collection of comics A.T. Pratt did over the last few years in his dot journal. This comic includes strips about time, aging, making comics, selling comics, "hourly comics" from 2021 and 2022, and a trilogy of names many people have called Pratt recently.
