Upload the media to talks.pratt
When your video is ready for publishing, it's time to upload it for the public!
- visit https://talks.pratt.edu and login with your Pratt OneKey
- Click ADD NEW in the upper right and choose MEDIA UPLOAD
- select and upload file
- enter in relevant information (title, descriptions, etc)
- Select "Unlisted" under Publishing Status
If all you need is a stable URL or embed code, you're all set! If you'd like it to be listed on our Library Tutorials page, please send a systems request to systems.library@pratt.edu and include the URL of your video on Pratt Talks.
Adding Captions
Automatic Captions can be added you videos by doing the following:
- log into talks.pratt.edu and click on "My media" (top-right)
- Then click on your video title (this takes you to a new page)
- Below the video player on the right is an "actions" menu. Click on the "actions" menu and select the "Order transcript" option from the drop-down.
This will place a call to the system and your captions will be produced and attached to your video automatically. It takes a little bit of time, but this is an important step for accessibility!
