What Is Environmental Justice?

Environmental Justice, as defined by the Brittanica Database, is a social movement that seeks to address the inequitable distribution of environmental health hazards that largely affect the poor and minority communities. The idea that all people should deserve to live in a clean environment, unpolluted by industrial waste and other hazards, surpasses the boundaries of race or socioeconomic status.
