About the Pop-Up Book Collection

The Library's collection of pop-ups and movable books spans all genres and were originally created for children and adults.  While some pop-up books are housed in the regular Brooklyn Stacks, most of them do not circulate and are kept in the closed stacks.  Artists' Books that employ pop-up engineering are generally housed in the Artists' Books Collection.

This collection is developed in close cooperation with faculty members teaching courses related to the Book Minor, Communication Design, and other book-related fields and is particularly geared toward serving as documentation of a variety of practices and formats that can serve as examples and inspiration to students engaged in creating their own pop-up books.

Don't see a pop up book you think we should have?  Use our Suggest a Purchase Form, and we will take your request into consideration as we make our collection decisions.
