Celebrate Native American and Indigenous People's Heritage Month with this guide containing books, eBooks, films, and other resources on Indigenous Peoples.

Accessing Our Print Collections

The Pratt Institute Libraries are now offering two ways to access our print collections: "Request a Pickup" and "Request a PDF."

Click the "Request a Pickup" button on individual item records to schedule a contact-free book pickup at either the Brooklyn or PMC libraries. Scheduled appointments for pickup will take place between the hours of 10am-4pm, Monday — Friday. Note: Patrons must adhere to Pratt's campus access procedure in order to pick up materials.

You can also request a PDF scan of any print journal article or book chapter we have in the print collections. All you need to do is search our online catalog, and click the "Request a PDF Scan" button on available items. Please note that some items are unable to be scanned due to format, damage, or availability. Patrons are limited to 10 scanning requests per person per week. Please allow 3 business days for your scanning request to be processed.

Can't Find What You Need?

Are we missing something? The Pratt Institute Libraries welcomes suggestions for material purchases which support the teaching, study, and research at the Institute. Fill out our Suggest a Purchase form here.

Additionally, there's a strong chance that local public libraries offer free access to the titles you're looking for. Our Unlocking Local Public Library Collections resource guide walks you through the quick and simple process of registering for electronic library cards with New York Public Library, Brooklyn Public Library, and Queens Library.
