Requesting Books with ConnectNY

ConnectNY FAQ

What is ConnectNY?

ConnectNY (log into ConnectNY) provides access to over 8 million books outside of the Pratt Institute Collection. Books requested are shipped directly to the library circulation desk of your choice for pick up.

How do I use ConnectNY?

You can search the shared ConnectNY catalog here: log into ConnectNY. To make a request, simply search for an item of interest and clicking the 'Request' button. The automated system will guide you through the steps of submitting the request. Books can be shipped to Brooklyn or Manhattan Pratt Institute campuses.

How long does it take for ConnectNY items to arrive?

Usually ConnectNY requests take approximately one week to arrive. When they arrive, you will receive an email notification to your pratt.edu email address indicating that an item is available for pickup at the Pratt campus location of your choosing. Generally, ConnectNY requests are faster than traditional interlibrary loan requests.

How can I check the status of my ConnectNY request?

You will receive an email notification as soon as your ConnectNY request has arrived and is available for pickup. If you have any questions about your ConnectNY request, you can contact the Reference Desk at libref@pratt.edu.
