Artstor Basics

Getting the most out of the Artstor Digital Library and the Pratt Institute Libraries' growing collection of digital images.

Creating an Image Group

Artstor allows you to save groups of images so that you don't have to go back and find the images you would like to access every time you go back to Artstor.

Possible uses of image groups include:

- gathering images for a paper or presentation you are working on

- grouping together images by an artist or a particular medium, for example, that you would like to return to later for inspiration

These image groups will be retained for as long as your account is active.

For more information watch the video below, or go to Organizing Image Groups section of the Artstor Help Wiki.

Sharing an Image Group

This feature is available to faculty only.  For more information about Artstor for Faculty, visit the Artstor for Faculty pages.

If you are a student and would like to share your image group with other students, you may want to consider exporting your presentation to PowerPoint and doing it that way.

If you think it would be helpful for your class to share image groups through Artstor, ask your professor to contact the Visual Resources Center at image.library@pratt.edu or 718-636-3716 to learn more about Student Folders.
