Placing Materials on Course Reserves

1. Allow ample time for your items to be placed on reserve

2. Review the reserves guidelines to make sure that your material can be placed on reserve.

3. Submit an online reserves request form or download the forms here.

How to Find Materials on Course Reserves

1. Go to PrattCat from any of the links on the library homepage.

2. Click on the Reserves tab on the catalog home page

3. You can search by instructor or course. When searching by course you can type the letters of the academic department if you can't remember the full name (like HA for history of art).

4. You'll see a list of all the materials on hold for the course. If the item is electronic, just click on the title and you'll be taken to the file (you will have to sign in if you're off-campus). If the item is not electronic, it will have a call number. Write it down and request it at the circulation desk.

In the example above, the first two items are available electronically. Just click on the titles to access them. The second two items are not available electronically, so they have a call number. Use this to request the item at the circulation desk.
