  • Art Full Text (now in Art Source)  
    Provides full-text articles from more than 270 peer-selected publications about Latin American, Canadian, Asian, and non-Western art. It indexes and abstracts of over 600 periodicals as far back as 1984, including 260 peer-reviewed journals and over 18,000 art dissertations. Researchers can track the careers of artists, review their materials and methods, and find books by them, as well as interviews, profiles, and much more.
  • Art Index Retrospective  
    Covering content for the years 1929 - 1984 of art journalism, this retrospective resource includes articles, interviews, reviews and much more from over 600 publications.It features coverage of English-language periodicals, yearbooks and museum bulletins published in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish and Dutch.
  • ARTbibliographies Modern  
    Abstracts of journal articles, books, essays, exhibition catalogs, dissertations and exhibition reviews with comprehensive bibliographic coverage of modern and contemporary art, architecture, design and photography. The time period coverage includes the 19th and 20th centuries. Covers literature published since 1974. A list of periodicals indexed is available. Updated monthly.
  • Artstor  
    Digital image database containing over 1 million images in the areas of art, architecture, and design.
  • AskART  
    AskART is an online database containing over 155,000 artists. From its inception the focus was on American artists from the early 16th-Century through the present. However, in January of 2007 the database has expanded to include international artists' auction records.
  • Berg Fashion Library  
    The Berg Fashion Library offers fully cross-searchable access to an expanding range of Berg content collections – including the Berg Encyclopedia of World Dress and Fashion online, e-books, reference works, images, and much more.
  • Bibliography of the History of Art (BHA)  
    The Bibliography of the History of Art indexes and abstracts articles, art-related books, conference proceedings, dissertations, and art exhibition and dealer's catalogs. This extensive and comprehensive index covers European and American art from late antiquity to the present. A list of periodicals indexed is available. Updated monthly.
  • DAAI: Design and Applied Arts Index  
    Indexes over 500 journals that cover industrial design, interior design, fashion, graphic design, typography, packaging, etc., since 1973. Supplementary databases provide contact information for craft & design organizations, special collections of design & craft, design & craft education programs, and periodicals. Online help is available. Coverage is worldwide. A list of periodicals indexed is available. Updated annually.
    Arts and Sciences I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, and IX Collections provide full-text access to hundreds of journals published in different countries in business, economics, finance, health science, history, political science, and sociology, as well as in other key fields in the humanities and social sciences.
  • Material ConneXion  
    An online database of over 1,400 materials and processes of the latest materials typically unnoticed or difficult to reach by the design community. For architecture, interiors, furniture design, sports related design, consumer product design, apparel, automotive design, aerospace, military, medical, environmental design.
  • Oxford Art Online  
    Composed of Grove Art, Oxford Companion to Western Art, Encyclopedia of Aesthetics & Concise Oxford Dictionary of Art Terms. Contains over 41,000 articles on the art and architecture of Asia, Africa, Europe, the Americas and the Pacific, with links to images and further information in museum and other art-related web sites. Help is available.
  • WGSN (formerly Stylesight)  
    Provides information to assess current trends and to collaborate and analyze trend forecasts and reports for effective results during the design cycle.


  • Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals  
    Most comprehensive listing of journal articles on architecture and design, history and practice of architecture, landscape architecture, city planning, historic preservation and interior design and decoration. Indexes articles from nearly 800 US and foreign architectural journals published worldwide, 75% of which are not indexed in any other source. Includes articles from previous electronic version as well as records converted from Avery Library card file, with records dating from the 1860s to the present. A list of periodical titles indexed is available.
  • Building Green  
    Provides media and information resources including the award-winning Environmental Building News, BuildingGreen Suite of online tools, GreenSpec directory of products, and LEEDuser web tool.
  • GreenFILE  
    A database which focuses on the relationship between human beings and the environment. Comprised of more than 600 scholarly and general interest titles, as well as government documents and reports. It offers a perspective on the positive and negative ways humans affect the ecology. The total number of records is approximately 295,000, and full text is provided for more than 4,600 records from open access titles. Also included in GreenFILE is a 6,800-term Thesaurus.
  • Taylor & Francis Online
    Includes titles in architecture and planning.

  • Emerald Management Xtra  
    A wide range of serials, series and books in library science, management and related fields. A list of periodicals indexed is available.
  • Encyclopedia of Library and Information Science  
    Covers a spectrum of related information disciplines, including Archival Science, Bibliography, Document and Genre Theory, Informatics, Information Systems, Knowledge Management, Library and Information Science, Museum Studies, Records Management, and Social Studies of Information. Relevant articles can be found by entry title, subject category, or specific name or topic.
  • Library Literature & Information Science Full Text (H.W. Wilson)  
    Indexes the contents of books, journals, conference proceedings, library school theses, pamphlets, and book reviews in the literature of Library and Information Science published since 1980. Contains over 185,000 citations from English- and non-English-language sources. A list of periodicals indexed is available.
  • Library Literature & Information Science Retrospective: 1905-1983 (H.W. Wilson)  
    Indexes of English and foreign-language periodicals, selected state journals, conference proceedings, pamphlets, library school theses, and over 300 books a year. It also delivers cover-to-cover full-text articles from over a hundred select publications.
  • Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts (LISTA)  
    Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts (LISTA) indexes more than 500 core journals, more than 50 priority journals, and 125 selective journals; plus books, research reports and proceedings. Subject coverage includes librarianship, classification, cataloging, bibliometrics, online information retrieval, information management and more.   • OmniFile Full Text Mega (H.W. Wilson)  
    A multi-disciplinary database providing the complete content - indexing, abstracts, and full text - from six of Wilson's full-text databases: Education Full Text, General Science Full Text, Humanities Full Text, Readers' Guide Full Text, Social Sciences Full Text, and Wilson Business Full Text. Also included, when available, are full-text articles from five additional periodical databases: Applied Science & Technology Full Text, Art Full Text, Biological & Agricultural Index, Index to Legal Periodicals & Books, and Library Literature & Information Science Full Text.     Provides full-text scientific journal articles and book chapters in social and behavioral sciences.
  • Scopus  
    Provides abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature and quality web sources in science, technology, medical and social sciences fields, and arts and humanities.
  • Social Sciences Full Text (H.W. Wilson)  
    Full text and page images from scores of key publications, plus abstracting and indexing of hundreds of others. An in-demand resource for a wide variety of users from students to social workers, Social Sciences Full Text covers the latest concepts, trends, opinions, theories, and methods from both applied and theoretical aspects of the social sciences.High quality indexing of periodicals as far back as 1983. Humanities & Multidisciplinary

  • Academic OneFile  
    A resource for peer-reviewed, full-text journals and reference sources covering physical sciences, technology, medicine, social sciences, the arts, theology, literature, etc. It has more than 14,000 titles and full-text of The New York Times from 1985 to present.
    Titles in Gale Academic OneFile are also covered in other subject oriented Gale databases.
  • Humanities Full Text (H.W. Wilson)  
    Humanities Full-Text is a full text database that provides digital versions of a large array of prestigious academic journals in disciplines ranging from Anthropology, the Arts, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Literature, Literary Criticism to further support the Humanities, Art, and Social Science scholarship at the Institute. Humanities Full-Text provides access to over 500 journals in these disciplines. A list of periodicals indexed is available.
    The Arts and Sciences I and III collections provide full-Text access to over 200 journals . Collection I covers core journals in economics, history, political science, and sociology, as well as in other key fields in the humanities and social sciences. Collection III covers languages and literature, as well as essential titles in the fields of music, film studies, folklore, performing arts, religion, and the history and study of art and architecture.   • Project MUSE - Premium Collection  
    Provides full-text access to a comprehensive selection of prestigious humanities and social sciences journals which are heavily indexed and peer-reviewed, with critically acclaimed articles by scholars in their fields. Database content is from over 400 titles representing nearly 100 not-for-profit publishers.


  • Encyclopedia Americana  
    Includes the print Encyclopedia Americana as well as The American Heritage Dictionary.
  • Encyclopedia Britannica Academic Edition  
    Includes the print Encyclopedia Britannica as well as Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary and Thesaurus, Britannica Student Encyclopedia and the Britannica Book of the Year. Nearly 120,000 articles and 14,000 illustrations.
  • Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia  
    An 11-million-word repository of text and images maintained by the encyclopedia's editorial and technical staff.

    Contains annotated references to nonjournal material in the monthly Resources in Education (RIE) and to journal articles issued in the monthly Current Index to Journals in Education (CIJE).   • Business Abstracts with Full Text (H.W. Wilson)
