How to access interlibrary loan materials through Pratt Institute Libraries.

Fees

We are a reciprocal library. If you lend for free, so do we! If not, we charge $15 for copies & loans. Fes are managed through IFM.

Lending to External Libraries

The Pratt Institute Libraries loans books and provides copies to other libraries. To check our holdings, please visit our catalog. Note that the Insitute has two campuses: one in Brooklyn and one in Manhattan. Please direct all requests, renewals, returns, and questions to the branch that holds the desired item.

Books are lent for 6 weeks with the option to renew once for two weeks. Materials are lent to institutions within the United States and are subject to recall at anytime.

The following items are not available for loan to external libraries via ILL:

  • Media (DVDs, CDs, Videos, 16mm films)
  • Recent acquisitions (less than 6 months)
  • Textbooks
  • Periodicals (bound or loose)
  • e-journal articles
  • Reserves
  • Library Use Only Items (including Theses, Reference, Rare books, & Special Collections)
